Kaiju is a Raytraxian that can be obtained by stepping into the crystal masses in the Crystal Cave when there is no event happening.

Bestiary Description

3.2: A lumbering behemoth, known for their size and crystalline shimmer. These crystals vary in size and placement, but are mostly seen along the back and down the tail of the creature. Kaiju's are able to harness the electricity found in these crystals and use their internal gas to ignite a bight blue flame! Setting all ablaze that stand in their iconic beams wake... while the beam is powerful, it is costly to the kaiju's health, draining their energy if used for a prolonged amount of time.

Kaijus tend to be passive aggresive, and are very territorial. If provoked, these tanky beasts will not hesitate to lash out, but... if you keep your distance, they will leave you be... most of the time.

Crystal Chasm, also known as "Kaiju Cove", is their main territory. They are often found lurking about the Chasm. These crystals found within the cove are past kaijus.. fallen due to the sheer size of their crystals. They have continued to build and grow since. While the cave is lacking in resources.. we believe kaijus themselves are able to "grow" these crystals. This cove is known to have its own.. "smog".. it is highly dangerous, avoid at all costs. Even Raytrax species aren't immune to its potent radiation poisoning.

A giant lizard-like creature that slowly has crystals growing outside of it's back. These crystals may vary in size and placement, but are mostly seen along the back of the creature.

Kaijus tend to be passive aggressive, and are very territorial. These tanky creatures tend to attack when provoked, but if you keep your distance, they will leave you be... most of the time.

The crystals in the main cave are actually shed scales that built up overtime. Touching any of those scales appear to be infecttious, be careful of them.

Kaijus love spending time in the crystal caves or near water. While they do not swim often, they have shown to be very mobile in water and almost more aggressive.

Refrain from going near any of the large blue crystals inside the cave.

Appearence

3.1: The Kaiju is mainly dark blue, with a muted blue underbeail that has neon blue crystal-like spikes going down to the end. Its tongue is constantly sticking out. It has darker blue claws on its feet and arms. It's slightly bigger than most Raytraxians and all humans. and also has magenta eye whites with yellow irises

3.2: Kaiju is the same dark blue color with the same muted blue underbelly, with cyan eyes and dark blue eye whites, its tail is that of a crocodile tail with light blue crystals going down its back it has darker blue claws and the same muted blue under the hands and feet. and Is still taller than each and every Raytraxian. and has a permanent hunched over stature.

Trivia

  • When a Kaiju is killed, it has a chance to drop a Strange Crystal or Kaiju Basher.
  • Kaiju has a strong resemblance to Godzilla.
    • Despite Kaiju Paradise' description saying that the game is "not correlated to the Godzilla series," Kaiju's general appearance and "Ion Beam" ability are both seemingly heavily influenced by modern depictions of Godzilla. Kaiju's 3.2 redesign strays away from this, but it should still be noted as an influence.
  • Kaiju is one of few Raytraxians whom are larger than the average Raytraxian/player, being 1.1x the size of the default player model.
    • The only others include Sircu and Figs, whom are also 1.1x sized.
  • Kaiju has the most potential Convertion sites in the game, tied with the other Crystal Creatures.
  • Kaiju was the first ever Raytraxian to be added to Kaiju Paradise, and is likely where the game's name came from.
  • Equipping an Orange Bucket before transforming into Kaiju will eventually launch it off of the character's head once transformed, but strangely enough it does not do this for Kaiju, instead freezing in place and keeping the player locked temporarily. This is not a stun or softlock, however, since the bucket eventually disappears.
    • This has since been fixed.
  • During the Blackout event, Kaiju emits a faint blue light that comes off from the crystals on its back and tail (as of 3.1R).
  • Kaiju's 3.2 description seems to imply that the large creatures which caused the crystals in Crystal Cave are not the same species as the "Kaiju" Raytraxian, due to the lack of capitalization when mentioning kaijus. "Kaiju" itself just meant "giant monster," although prior text in the description seems to imply they are also casually referred to as a kaiju, despite not being all too "giant."
  • The "Kaiju Grub" model and design were created by Una.
    • Una also created the model and design of the "Hebi Grub" and "Manic Grub."
  • For a while, only the Kaiju, Carneline, Slime Pup, Mochi, Sprinklekit, and Ghost Fox could blink.
    • Once all characters were visually updated via the 3.1R and 3.2 updates, this no longer became unique to Kaiju, since now every single character was able to blink.
  • Before V3.1, Kaiju had 4 ears.
  • Classic Kaiju originally had 3.1 Kaiju's assets (but remodeled)
    • A few weeks after, they changed the face expressions for Classic Kaiju.
