A Power Outage is an event in which the lights go out. Everything turns into different shades of red, including the crystals and the sharks! The human safe-zone barrier also shuts off, so it's easy for the Raytraxian to attack the humans.
The background OST changes and all radios are shut off, until the event is over.
Power Outage chance is 80% on every 3000 - 5000 seconds [50 - 1 hr and 23 minutes].
In a VIP Server, doing either ":poweroutage (x seconds you want the outage to be)" or ":po (x seconds you want the outage to be)" after you have survived a Power Outage in a normal server without getting infected as a human or without being killed as a Gootraxian will activate one.
Raytraxian
While a Power Outage is active, new Raytraxians are available. A select few Raytraxian will have their appearances altered.

Trivia
- During the 2023 April Fools' event, the red fog covering the map became a bright purple.
- Coincidingly, the transmogrifying slime puddles found around the map became the same purple. This effect also extended to the slime creatures obtained from these puddles.
- During the 2024 April Fools' event, all of the blue rock in the area was replaced with Minecraft netherrack, and the background OST would rapidly speed up and slow down.
- After complaints from the community, the music's speed was set back to being consistent, even as the April Fools' event was still in progress.
- Players transformed as Hebi are able to use their "Prepare" ability during the event, despite not being a Blackout.
- Panther could use the aforementioned ability during the Power Outage event as well, before being replaced by Hebi.
- During the outages, the Kaiju Basher weapon is replaced with the Manic Striker, which has a chance of dropping when killing a Manic.
- Carneline used to have a chance to drop the Carneline Striker, before both were removed.
